Romero Bests De Gea Again

David De Gea will be left on the bench once again in United’s upcoming Premier League match against Newcastle United.

In De Gea’s last 6 matches against Newcastle he has kept 3 clean sheets.

Once again, Sergio Romero will be United’s starting keeper, having kept 2 clean sheets and only conceding once in 3 games. The only goal he’s conceded has been a flukey own goal against Club Brugge which he could do nothing about.

LvG claims that De Gea isn’t in the right state of mind to be competing for Manchester United right now. This is due to the transfer speculation surrounding the Spaniard.

De Gea has been linked to Real Madrid since the end of last season, since Madrid knew that they were going to replace club legend Iker Casillas.

The transfer window closes on 1st September, hopefully for United, David De Gea will still be at the club as he’s a world class keeper. Having said this Sergio Romero, despite being second choice for Sampdoria, has proven himself to be a worthy net minder so far.

Enjoy that? Give it a share!
