Nemanja Vidic, who joined Manchester United back in 2006 says that he is still enjoying playing on the “biggest stage in football” as United look to win their 20th league title.
Nemanja Vidic has been made just 19 appearances in all competitions for Manchester United this season due to a knee injury, but admits he still relishes first-team football.
Speaking with Inside United, Vidic said:
“It’s brought me huge enjoyment and the opportunity to express myself on what’s probably the biggest stage in football”
“I feel blessed to play for this club and I learn things every day. I’ve been at United for seven-and-a-half years… I can’t deny I feel something very special.”
Vidic says that his team deserve recognition for their form as they go into the Manchester Derby 15-points clear of their rivals.
He added:
“This is a great achievement, if you have those stats you cannot argue.”I think we’ve played well this year, we’ve scored many goals.
Okay maybe we can improve certain things, but if you look at the team performance this year I think it is better than any other season.
“We’ve used so many players this season. So many players have a role to play, so credit to everyone.
“We are determined to win the trophies. We care about style too, but I think it is most important to think game by game.
“We keep saying that, but it is the way we do it.”
