Noam Emeran set to transfer to Groningen

Manchester United’s young winger, Noam Emeran, is set to transition to the Dutch second-tier side, Groningen, according to information obtained by Football Insider.

The talented 20-year-old has received the green light to proceed with a medical and enter contract talks, following United’s acceptance of a substantial six-figure bid.

Despite making an impact in the pre-season, and scoring a goal against Leeds United over in Norway, Emeran is parting ways with the Old Trafford outfit.

During the 2023 summer season several loan proposals came in to Manchester United for the young star, but the club has chosen a permanent transfer route.

In 2019, Emeran’s talents were recognised globally, with giants like Barcelona, Juventus, and Paris Saint-Germain all vying for him. Yet, it was United who ultimately won his allegiance when they signed him from Amiens.

Emeran’s departure is in line with a broader trend this summer, as he’s just one of several budding talents preparing to leave the club.

With his Manchester United contract nearing its end, there exists a clause for a possible 12-month extension. However, despite being a fixture in United’s youth setup, the French youth international never made it to the first team.

Last season saw Emeran make a significant contribution to the under-21 team, with 17 appearances and five goals. Moreover, he was part of the U21 squad this season, putting in a full shift in their Premier League 2 inaugural match on 14th August.

Emeran’s anticipated exit hints at a possible exodus of young talent from Old Trafford in the coming months, with Brandon Williams set to joining Ipswich Town in a loan move with an option to buy.

Good luck in your future, Noam!
