Thousands of Manchester United fans queued up at a Tesco store in Manchester to get their hands on the brand new autobiography and meet the man himself, Sir Alex Ferguson.
When announced two-weeks ago that Sir Alex Ferguson was to only be doing one signing in the United Kingdom, fans made their plans to be there, with some queuing from 6:30pm the night before just to be the first to get to meet their idol.
Tesco’s had reported that they were expecting over 10,000 fans over the course of the day.
The queues stretched all through the store and zig-zagged around Tesco’s car-park, refreshments and promotional items were handed out to those waiting to keep their spirits high as they waited for the manager that brought their club so much success in his 26-years at the helm.
Sir Alex Ferguson arrived at 11am, after a brief stop for the photographer (as shown above) he quickly took to the mic to thank all fans coming, adding:
“I know there are thousands here today and I thank you for that, I will try and not let any fan go home disappointed, I will try my best”
Sir Alex Ferguson’s autobiography was launched on Thursday morning and is now available in all good book shops.
