Moyes admits Robin van Persie is a pleasure to work with

Manchester United started their league campaign well with an impressive 4-1 win at Swansea City.

Robin van Persie and Danny Welbeck scored two goals a-piece at the Liberty Stadium to secure all three-points for United.

Speaking after the game, David Moyes said:

“The biggest thing for me is that Robin has been a pleasure to work with

“He is really keen to work to improve and get better, you may wonder how he can get better.

“His two goals were terrific, the athleticism he showed for the first and the power for the second.’

Much of the media will be made up around the Wayne Rooney saga, after coming on as a second half substitute but not celebrating either goal that he was involved in with his team-mates while on the pitch.

Moyes added:

“Wayne did well when he came on and made a great run for the one goal and a great pass for the second. He helped the team and played a part getting the result.

“He’s got quite a bad kick down the back of his Achilles and he is still lacking match practice. He played well for the team and he helped set up two goals.

“Wayne has worked very hard when he has been fit. You cross that white line and enjoy your football and I thought he did that today.’

Once again I am worried about Kagawa. Borusia tried to sign him in the summer but if he keeps getting overlooked by static Giggs I can see him transferring back to Borrusia in the January transfer window.
I can not understand Moyes selecting Giggs over Anderson and Kagawa.
Surely Giggs non movement and non tackling should convince Moyes.

Shinji had to travel to and from Japan on international duty, so that is why he wasn’t played in the Comm. Shield or today. He will most likely play next Monday against Chelsea, unless Moyes wishes to make a statement by starting Rooney.
