Manchester United in talks with RB Leipzig for Dino Klapija transfer

Manchester United, along with RB Leipzig, are engaged in talks according to Fabrizio Romano to acquire the signature of Dino Klapija. A potential agreement could even be reached promptly for the player to join in January.

A decision regarding the future of this striker is anticipated in the near future, as he is set to part ways with his current Croatian team, Kustosija, imminently.

Manchester United are part of an extensive collection of clubs that have expressing interest in signing the American teen sensation, Dino Klapija, as revealed yesterday by reports and now confirmed by Romano.

According to the Daily Mail, the young talent has caught the eye of several prominent European sides since he began playing for NK Kustosija, having earlier departed Dinamo Zagreb’s academy.

Among the clubs showing strong interest are Barcelona, Juventus, Milan, Chelsea and RB Leipzig, but they find themselves before the advances of Manchester United who are closely monitoring the 16-year-old.

Born in the USA, Klapija initially honed his skills at New York City FC’s academy, taking up a role in midfield. He has since transitioned further forward, moulding himself into a centre-forward.

With appearances for the USA at the U16 level and now representing Croatia at U17, Klapija’s potential and talent are undeniable.

NK Kustosija has a reputation in Croatia as a breeding ground for gifted players, having previously facilitated the move of Mikayil Faye to Barcelona, amongst other successful transfers.

This is not the only transfer rumours and news from today as Brandon Williams looks set to join Ipswich Town and Facundo Pellistri is set for a loan move to Sheffield United.
