Manchester United bid for another Southampton star

Manchester United have once again come to Southampton attempting to acquire one of their players.

In the past two seasons, Manchester United have forked out over £50 million to bring two Saints players to Old Trafford. This season, United took French defensive midfielder Morgan Schneiderlin; so far he has played 9 games as a Red Devil.

Last summer, Luke Shaw became the world’s most expensive teenager when the left back headed up north to join Manchester United. Shaw is currently recovering from a double fracture in his right leg.

During the latest transfer window, United were trying to sign Senegalese left winger, Sadio Mané. The 23 year old fits Louis van Gaal’s criteria, of a “quick and creative forward” perfectly but, the Red Devils failed to make a qualifying offer to Southampton for him.

Mané was a key member of Southampton’s team last season and he’s continued this into the current season. With 12 games played, he already has 5 goals and 6 assists.

He would definitely provide an offensive boost to a somewhat lacklustre United strike force that really struggled against Arsenal.

Enjoy that? Give it a share!
