Michael Carrick Injury Report

Manchester United midfielder, Michael Carrick, was ruled out of the UEFA Champions League game, against VfL Wolfsburg, with a minor injury.

The 34 year old has featured in every single one of United’s Premier League matches this season but has always been subbed of or come on as a substitute.

The Red Devils boss, Louis van Gaal, has announced that Michael Carrick will be fit to play in United’s away trip to Arsenal this weekend.

Speaking to ManUtd,com, the Dutch coach said:

“Carrick can play so I have a choice.”

“I’m happy to say that there are no injuries from [the Wolfsburg game].”

The English midfielder will once again be facing tough opposition as both Schneiderlin and Schweinsteiger had excellent games against Wolfsburg in midweek.

But van Gaal has been rotating his four central midfielders between the Premier League and their midweek match ups.

It’s very possible that, if he’s recovered from his minor injury, Ander Herrera will start alongside Carrick, as Schneiderlin and Schweinsteiger started in midweek.

Enjoy that? Give it a share!
