Darmian wins Player of the Month

Matteo has won Manchester United’s, fan voted, player of the month. The new Italian right back has been very impressive in his first month as a Red Devil.

After keeping 4 clean sheets in 6 games, the Manchester United defence has been the shining point of an otherwise poor start (performance wise) from the United team.

Matteo Darmian beat team mates Chris Smalling and Luke Shaw to the fan voted award. The right back only cost £12 million from Torino and he looks to be one of the best signings of the summer window.

Manchester United host Liverpool tomorrow but Matteo Darmian will not be facing who would be his usual opponent as Philippe Coutinho is suspended.

Coutinho received two yellow cards in Liverpool’s crushing defeat to West Ham, where the Merseyside Reds lost 3-0.

This is a huge boost for United as Coutinho is one of Liverpool’s best players. The Brazilian will most likely be replaced with; Roberto Firmino, Jordan Ibe or Adam Lallana.

Hopefully the Italian will put in another great performance to help lead Manchester United to victory over their bitter rivals.

Enjoy that? Give it a share!
