Van Gaal has a Point to Prove

Last season, Manchester United lost both match ups with Swansea City 2-1, so now Louis van Gaal has a point to prove. The Dutchman is entering into his 50th game in charge of the Red Devils and wants to prove that his team has improved since the sides met last season.

Speaking to MUTV the manager stated:

“I don’t want to lose again,”

“It’s the only club we could not beat or gain one point against [last season]. It’s a difficult team against us and before my period it was also difficult for United so I hope we can improve and that we can show that we are better than last year.”

“Swansea are a very good team, they play a positional game like we do. They want to build up and have a good attack with speed and creativity. They proved they are a good team this season in the draw against Chelsea and against Newcastle and when I see the individual players I see that they have quality.”

“You [the media] spoke about Montero, but they also have Ayew, Gomis and Sigurdsson who have creativity. They are a difficult team to beat, especially away.”

“The first match that I played was against Swansea and we lost and now I have to play my 50th match and I hope we can show our fans that we have improved, because that is the main thing. Last year we lost all the points against Swansea and I always want improvement from my team and my players. I hope we can show that.”

United go travel down to Wales without Adnan Januzaj, who sustained an injury in midweek. So van Gaal will be shuffling his team around to fill in for the young Belgian.

Enjoy that? Give it a share!
