Manchester United 'on verge' of signing Luke Shaw

It’s been a busy day for Manchester United, first of all the club officially announced the signing of Ander Herrera from Athletic Bilbao, while Adnan Januzaj and Marouane Fellaini both start for Belgium. To add to that over the last few hours it the news broke from BBC that Luke Shaw is set to have a medical at Manchester United. Since then multiple media outlets have reported the same such as Sky Sports, Telegraph and Daily Mail.

The Telegraph report that Manchester United are on the verge of sealing a deal for the 18-year-old left back. United and Southampton held ‘extensive talks’ over the last 72 hours and are nearing completion of a £30m deal. Shaw will travel to Manchester on Friday for a medical.

Shaw has been a target for United since the end of last season but Southampton understandably were unwilling to sell after losing Rickie Lambert to Liverpool and possibly loosing both Dejan Lovern and Adam Lallana aswell. But it seems that United will get their man just days after finally sealing a move for Herrera who they had previously failed to sign last year.

Enjoy that? Give it a share!

This is brilliant news along with Herrera great business to kick start the rebuild. yes it’s a lot of money but come the end of his career it will be money well spent no one talks about the money we payed for Rio Rooney and even now with de gea. Shaw’s potential is massive and at utd he has the chance to flourish. Van gaal marching us back up the table well done Woodward. Whose next?

And people wounder why English talent doesn’t get a chance with the top clubs, good player but an absolutely ridicules price tag. But atlest now we know that united are willing to actually spend money.
