Moyes confirms Fab bid, FC Barcelona in no rush to accept

David Moyes this morning confirmed that Manchester United have put in an improved £30million bid in for Cesc Fabregas, but FC Barcelona will await the appointment of a new coach until they respond to the bid.

The new fresh bid was sent over to the Spanish giants over the weekend, £30million plus add ons for Fabregas, who is currently on around £100,000 a week, will likely be offered a bumper pay rise if he does decide to come to Manchester.

Speaking in Yokohama this morning, David Moyes said:

”My understanding is that Ed’s [Woodward, United’s executive vice chairman] had a response and he spoke with them.

“I think we made a second offer but Ed is dealing with that personally, rather than me.

“When you’re interested in good players you want to give it every opportunity to materialise and I’ll do that. I hope things can continue and move forward.

“At this moment in time I can only tell you that Ed Woodward is working hard trying to make the deals happen. We can only hope that some of them fall into place shortly.”

The location of Ed Woodward is unknown, but one thing is for sure, Manchester United are working hard on trying to improve the midfield after narrowly losing out on Thiago Alcatara.

Enjoy that? Give it a share!

Ohhh what a pity!!!! Only £30m plus add-ons for Cesc????
What a shame on you ManUtd…afraid of spending big money for more important targets…
You will be same as Arsenal in one year’s time…class players leaving the club and it’s already begun with Rooney leaving soon…
You (Moyes) are not worthy enough to be appointed as Utd manager and Ed also isn’t worthy enough to carry out deals properly….
SHAME ON YOU MANUTD

Shut up joe, barce do not want to let fab go cos he z the only creative midfielder n experience player they hv after thiago left.I think u need to gather more information before u speak.

Pls u guy shld leave moyes alone so dat he can concentrate n ve focus,do u tink is dat easy pls if u guy dnt ve anything positive keep sht ur mouth.one luv united.

i just hope we could sign CESC for not more than 35M pounds. . . . If ed-woodward could pull off the deal, then sell ROONEY to chelsea in exchange for MATA and 10M pounds. . . . . . . . Then this UNITED team will surely be unstopable. . . . . .imagine playing a 4-2-3-1 formation. . . De gea rafael…jones..rio/vidic…evra. Cleverly…..carrick. Nani/zaha…fab/kagawa…mata R.v.p/chicharito
