Manchester United announce two new sponsors

The Manchester United commercial team have been hard at work against as this morning they have confirmed two new sponsorship deals.

Wahaha, a Chinese soft drinks manufacturer and China Construction Bank, one of China’s biggest banking groups, have both signed a three-year deal with United.

Both of these deals will be aimed at all the Manchester United fans in China.

Ben Arnold, United commercial director said:

“Manchester United has a long association with China, visiting 11 times to play friendly matches, the first time was in 1975 and the most recent visit in August last year.

“Sir Alex and his team were overwhelmed with the welcome they received from fans who packed the stadium in Shanghai.”

Manchester United posted a record commercial income of £117.6million last year and have already announced a £357million seven-year shirt sponsorship deal with Chevrolet which starts in 2014.
