Zidane has Declined United's Interest

France and Real Madrid legend Zinedine Zidane is currently head coach of Real Madrid’s reserve team, Real Madrid Castilla, who play in the Segunda División B. He is tasked with coaching and developing all of Madrid’s top young prospects.

The latest twist in the David De Gea transfer whirlwind is a new set of demands from the Manchester United camp.

If a deal were to go through, taking United’s prized keeper to the Bernabéu, then the Red Devils would want Madrid prospect, Borja Mayoral to come the other way.

18 year old Mayoral currently plays as one of two strikers in Zidane’s line up for R. M. Castilla. The French marvel has thinks very highly of the Spanish forward and wants him to stay in his home country. Zidane has declined United’s interest in his player by stating:

“I am very happy with him and I also want him.”

The youngster has scored 9 goals in 12 games for the Spanish under-19 squad.
