Manchester United target William Carvalho from Sporting Lisbon

Reports today suggest Manchester United have blown their chances of signing Toni Kroos, but will concentrate on bagging William Carvalho if they are willing to pay £37.5m for the midfielder.

Manchester United officials are currently over in Portugal, trying to help the deal go through according to reports. Carvalho’s current team, Sporting Lisbon, have stated that they will allow Carvalho to leave for a good price; this is what their Sporting Director had to say on the matter.

The Mirror report that Toni Kroos will not join United, after agreeing a £20m transfer to Real Madrid. The German midfielder has been heavily linked with a move to Old Trafford since last year’s summer transfer window.

Marouane Fellaini has been axed out of Louis van Gaal’s plans, according to The Daily Mail. The article indicates that Van Gaal doesn’t believe Fellaini is good enough for a club like Manchester United.

Liverpool and Arsenal have stepped up their pursuit of Alexis Sanchez, who has been tipped to join United since his impressive spell in this year’s World Cup. This could mean that United will miss out on the Chilean.

Manchester United have put in a £32m bid for Juan Cuadrado, who has impressed for Italian club Fiorentina. This is according to reports in Spain.

United are reportedly tracking Tomasz Kucz, a 14 year old Polish goalkeeper. The highly-rated teenager has been scouted by several other clubs.

Utd should be mindful of overflooding the team with too many good players but should concentrate on key players in lacking positions then put the young ones as subs as a means of creating for them oportunities to showcase.

I totally agree with you. Other teams are now using this chances to sell their players at a very high price, since United seems desperate to sign players (I think this is because of Woodward’s incapability to negotiate the transfer fee)
