Manchester United’s Federico Macheda has rejoined Doncaster Rovers in a loan move that will see him stay at the club until the 31st December 2013.
This is the second time this season that Macheda has moved to Doncaster Rovers, having previously joined them on a temporary basis in September.
The September loan was cut slightly short after Macheda suffered a hamstring injury which made him return to Manchester to recover. Now he is fully match fit and ready to return to Doncaster were he scored three goals in five appearances back in September.
Doncaster Rovers manager Paul Dickov is more than pleased to bring Macheda back in time for the Christmas period, he said:
“I am delighted I have been able to convince Kiko to re-join us as it will add to our attacking options
“I would like to thank Manchester United and Kiko for choosing to come back here. I know that he was happy here and knows the set up well. His club and we were happy about his performances in the five games he appeared in, with a tally of 3 goals.
“I’m pleased the owners have allowed me to bolster our attack by bringing a quality proven striker into the squad.”
We wish Macheda all the best on his second loan spell with Doncaster Rovers.
