William Keane returns for Manchester United after year-long injury

Manchester United and England striker William Keane is finally back after spending more than a year on the sidelines after suffering from a cruciate knee ligament injury.

Will Keane was named in the starting line-up for the Manchester United under-21s against Bolton Wanderers at the Salford City Stadium on Monday night, a welcomed addition to fans who have been asking about Keane’s recovery over the past few months.

It was in May 2012 when Keane suffered his cruciate knee ligament injury in action for England under-19s against Switzerland at Deepdale.

The club have been very careful during Keane’s rehabilitation and recovery not to release much information, but now his recovery at Carrington has meant Warren Joyce felt that he is ready for some match fitness.

Great to have Will Keane back as an option for the under-21s this season.

Enjoy that? Give it a share!

This is great news; really feared for the lad especially when things were progressing so well for him. I genuinely think he would have worked his way into the senior set up this year if he hadn’t suffered such a horrific set back. Good luck to the lad hopefully we’ll see him continue that progression this season.

welkam bak will kant forget the progress u’d med by the tym u went off i kno great things r up yo sleeve this season ver impressive player welkaaam!!!
