Wayne Rooney suffered this head injury while in training on Saturday morning in preparation for the Liverpool game, reportedly going in for a challenge with United defender Phil Jones.
The injury is to keep Rooney out of International duty too, United are hopeful that he will be available for selection when they face Crystal Palace at Old Trafford.
