Aston Villa reportedly have no transfer deal in place to sign Manchester United and England star Harry Maguire from Old Trafford.
There was speculation on Sunday afternoon on social media that Harry Maguire was in Birmingham over the weekend, and dining at a local curry house not too far away from Aston Villa’s training ground.
The rumours about Maguire’s future at Manchester United have been in the spotlight since he has fallen down the pecking order at under Erik ten Hag.
Harry Maguire still wears the captain’s armband for Erik ten Hag’s side, but he has only made a 4 starts in the Premier League during the 2022/23 season.
Despite reports over the weekend that had claimed Aston Villa were on the verge of completing a deal for Harry Maguire, Fabrizio Romano rubbished the rumours after sources close to both sides had confirmed that there were no negotiations ongoing.

It is reported that the photograph of Maguire dining in Birmingham, was after a round of golf at the Belfry with friends and agent.
Maguire is in line to return to the starting lineup when United host Charlton Athletic on Tuesday evening in the EFL Cup quarter-final at Old Trafford.
