Manchester United are back on Premier League duty for the first time in three weeks this weekend, with Bournemouth visiting Old Trafford on Saturday lunchtime. Having progressed further in both the FA Cup and Europa League over the last few weeks, as well as lifting the EFL Cup last weekend, United will be hoping to build upon their last league outing, a 2-0 win over Watford, and know that victory will guarantee them 5th place in the league table for this round of fixtures.
Jose Mourinho has little to worry about in the way of injuries, with Henrikh Mkhitaryan a doubt having picked up a problem in the 0-1 win over Saint-Etienne last Thursday but Phil Jones, who hasn’t played since February 1st now available. With that in mind, here’s how we expect United to line-up on Saturday:
David De Gea may end up having next Thursday night off, with United due to travel to FC Rostov in the Europa League, but he will surely start on Saturday. The back four should remain unchanged save for Marcos Rojo, who struggled against Southampton at Wembley on Sunday, and should be replaced by Daley Blind.
The midfield trio of Michael Carrick, Ander Herrera and Paul Pogba should remain, given that United haven’t had to play a game in midweek.
Up front, Mourinho is likely to stick with Zlatan Ibrahimovic, with Jesse Lingard and Anthony Martial either side of him.
