Manchester United May Not Be Champions of Europe, But Their Fans Are

It may be a tough season for Manchester United fans to bear. They’re out of the Champions League and more than a little discontent with Louis van Gaal’s philosophy. But BetHut brings good news, they’re champions of Europe when it comes to turning their stadium into a real fortress.

Even this season United have been difficult opponents at Old Trafford, unbeaten at home in both European and Premier League competition, and only losing out on penalties to Middlesbrough in October.

Known as the Theatre of Dreams, Old Trafford and Manchester United make it into Football Fortresses, a list of clubs renowned for their intimidating atmospheres which have led them all the way to glory. The guide then explores what makes them so special, and a host of impressive stats proving why each stadium really is a fortress.

For Manchester United, it’s their Premier League form which is unmatched in the English top flight. Over the past decade, the Red Devils have lost just 22 games from 190 which is a remarkable feat, only beaten by the likes of Real Madrid and Barcelona.

The two Spanish giants also make the list, which goes to show, an impressive fan base and fortress-like stadium can take you an awful long way, with the three clubs at the very top of the football rich list.

Elsewhere, Galatasaray, who were part of an incredible game with Manchester United back in 1993 are featured in the guide, which also allows users to play the club anthem of each team, and in their new stadium, the Turk Telekom Arena, they’ve lost fewer than 10 games.

Scottish side Celtic are the only other British side to be included in the guide, famed for their 46 league titles and European nights like nowhere else with Celtic Park rocking. In just 10 years they’ve lost only 11 games, with a longest unbeaten run at Celtic Park lasting 77 games.

Enjoy that? Give it a share!
