Manchester United considering £50 million price tag on transfer target

Manchester United have continued their summer interest in Southampton winger Sadio Mané.

Previously the Old Trafford side had a bid of around £20 million rejected by the Saints and since they have continued their inquiries.

Now the Southern side have slapped a £50 million price tag on the Senegalese speedster, and this has not yet deterred Manchester United.

The 23 year old has 5 goals and 6 assists in just 13 appearances this season; and on the tail end of last season, he scored the fastest hat-trick in Premier League history.

Mané is a very talented player and can play in many different positions across the front line. This season he has played left wing, right wing, attacking midfield and centre forward.

Southampton’s prized forward is valued at £12.6 million, which makes the peak of his realistic selling price to be around £25 million. The reported £50 million price tag is undoubtedly a deterrent as no club would pay this fee for Mané, despite his obvious talent and Premier League ability.

Currently occupying the Manchester United positions that Sadio Mané would be contending for are: Memphis Depay/Ashley Young/Anthony Martial; Wayne Rooney/Ander Herrera and; Juan Mata/Jesse Lingard.

Enjoy that? Give it a share!
