Anthony Martial expects a trophy haul at Old Trafford this season

Manchester United new comer, Anthony Martial, has announced that he believes that his new club can win the Champions League and the Premier League, this season!

The 19 year old Frenchman has only been at Old Trafford for a couple of months but already believes that he can help Manchester United win the two biggest trophies available to the club.

Speaking to French television show Telefoot the Manchester United claimed this:

“I think we can win the Premier League and the Champions League this season. Both of them. We are among the top five clubs (in Europe).”

“It is going well so far. I have had a great welcome from the fans. I don’t think about my price on the pitch.”

“The goal against Liverpool, the big enemy of the club, allowed the fans to get to know me a bit better.”

Not only has he impressed the Old Trafford Faithful but, since joining Manchester United, Anthony Martial has made his first appearances for his country.

The France national team coach, Didier Deschamps, also has great things to say about Martial:

“He has the potential.”

“Everybody is surprised by what he is doing at United but that’s good for him and good for us. He deserves to be here.”

“It was anything but easy after everything that has been written and said about him.”

“It has silenced a few people. He’s young, he may have more complicated times. He’s able to make great things happen. He did in Monaco.”

“He’s doing it now in a club at another level so it is easier to pay attention to his performances. He’s always been talented though.”

Anthony Martial, and his Manchester United team mates, continue their campaign for the Premier League title with an away trip to Everton next weekend.

Enjoy that? Give it a share!
