Anthony Martial could easily break more records on Saturday

Manchester United’s record braking transfer singing, Anthony Martial, is ready to put his names in the record books once again. But this time it’ll be down to his performances on the field, instead of a number established between two clubs.

If he scores against Sunderland on Saturday, (which the bookies currently peg at evens) Martial will become the first Manchester United player to score in each of their first three Premier League games.

The wunderkind’s goals against Liverpool and Southampton mean that he only needs to score against a team that have conceded 13 goals in 6 games to be the new record holder.

With 3 goals already in the bag, Martial could become United’s quickest player to 5 goals. Louis Saha and Robin van Persie are currently the quickest, taking 5 matches to net 5 goals.

This one’s a bit further away but, the young Frenchman could also swipe the record for the most consecutive goals at the start of a Premier League career. The record is currently held by Coventry City player Micky Quinn, who scored in each of his first 6 Premier League games.

The 19 year old striker is also half way to beating Robbie Keane’s record for most goals scored in a teenager’s first 10 Premier League games. Keane’s record is currently 6 goals in 10 games. Martial has 3 in just 2 games.

Anthony Martial is clearly a very unique talent who has already won over the Old Trafford Faithful. £36 million is looking like a complete steal if he can keep up his incredible performances.

Enjoy that? Give it a share!
