PREDICTED XI: Tottenham Hotspur vs Manchester United

Mauricio Pochettino’s young spurs side are slowly improving and definitely have enough talent in the side to get the three points from Manchester United. A defeat to Spurs tonight could see Manchester United slip out of the top four and Spurs moving into the top four depending on the outcomes of the other games. If Manchester United want to keep their hopes of catching Chelsea alive United need to keep wining games. This makes tonight’s game a must win for both sides. So get ready to see a cracker of a game or a really boring snooze fest because two sides approach the game too cautiously.

Ahead of the game at White Hart Lane we look at the Team News, Key Battles and also try predict the line-up and outcome of the game.

Team News :

Manchester United : “The pelvis is not in a right relationship, with his leg”- (Louis Van Gaal, 2014)

This is how Louis Van Gaal poetically described Angel Di Maria’s latest injury and why he is likely to be sidelined against spurs. Chris Smalling could be in line to make his comeback into the starting eleven after making the bench against Newcastle.  Maroune Fellaini and Adnan Januzaj are out through illness but Luke Shaw could make a return to the bench. Marcos Rojo (Thigh) and Daley Blind (Ankle) are still sometime away from making a comeback.

Tottenham Hotspur F.C : Tottenham Hostpur FC have absolutely no injuries at all. Ryan Mason is likely to make his comeback to the starting line up after recovering from his ankle injury. Hugo Lloris is also fit to start despite being left bloodied after a clash with Jamie Vardy in the 2-1 boxing day win against Leicester.

Predicted Lineups :

Manchester United :

Davd De Gea

Rafael   Jones  Smalling  Evans   Young

Carrick          Rooney

Mata

RVP          Falcao

Tottenham Hotspur F.C :

Lloris

Walker  Fazio   Vertonghen  Davies

Bentaleb     Mason

Lamela               Eriksen                 Chadli

H.Kane

Players to Watch :

Manchester United: Radamel Falcao

Falcao had a brilliant game against Newcastle but was far from his best. The Last two games has seen Falcao start and show us glimpses of how good he is when on top form. Hopefully against spurs we finally see the deadly beast of a player that he really is.

Tottenham Hotspur F.C : Christian Eriksen

The 22 year old danish play maker is the creative hub of this spurs side. Everything goes through him and is definetely the most talented player in Pochettino’s side.
