Manchester United legends charity event against Bayern Munich

As part of a noteworthy charity event, a team of former Manchester United stars, featuring Dwight Yorke and Paul Scholes, will play against Bayern Munich legends on 9th August at the Allianz Arena.

The Bayern icons will display a training session open for public viewing, before battling against United’s finest. The game could emulate thrilling games in the past, such as the historic 1999 Champions League final.

Paul Breitner will lead FC Bayern, with Paulo Sérgio, Marc van Bommel and Owen Hargreaves all set to play. More names are yet to be announced.

FC Bayern chairman said on the highly anticipated game: “I am sure that the event will be a very special one.”

There are a number of flights available to Munich from the United Kingdom, click here to search and get your travel arrangements booked now.

Tickets are available on the FC Bayern online ticketing service; prices start from €5. Money made from the event will go to an Allianz foundation. Allianz supports young children in Germany, with over 200 regional projects in Germany.

Enjoy that? Give it a share!
