Manchester United make Barcelona's Number 9 their main transfer target

New Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal, while busy with the Netherlands over in Brazil, has identified Barcelona winger Alexis Sanchez as one of his main transfer target this summer, according to the Guardian.

Despite no official enquiry or bid has been made as yet from the club, Sanchez is rumoured to be valued at around the £20million mark, a bargain if Manchester United can snap him up at that price for the 25-year-old.

Nani, Valencia, Young, Kagawa, Hernandez or Welbeck would be the player(s) that could make room for him within the squad as rumours grow regarding the future of some under the new reign of Louis van Gaal. The first 3 wingers on that list have frustrated United fans for a number of seasons now and the arrival of Sanchez in place of one or two of them is music to theirs ears.

Van Gaal often uses a 4-3-3 formation with emphasis on pacey wingers so it comes as no surprise that he’s possibly in the market for a winger.

Sanchez will face van Gaal’s Holland team in the World Cup.

Enjoy that? Give it a share!
