David Moyes confirmed good news on Friday afternoon as Robin van Persie, Rafael Da Silva and Nemanja Vidic all have a chance on recovering from injuries to face Tottenham Hotspur away in the league on Sunday.
Robin van Persie has not trained with the first team since suffering both a toe and groin injury during Manchester United’s 1-0 victory over Arsenal at Old Trafford, a game which Nemanja Vidic also suffered an injury, after a clash with David De Gea left him with slight concussion. Rafael Da Silva had a groin injury but has been training all week and travelled with the first team for their 5-0 Champions League win over Bayer Leverkusen.
Speaking with the media at Carrington, Moyes said:
“They all [van Persie, Rafael, Vidic] have a chance”
David Moyes was in good spirits and also expressed his delight following the 5-0 win over Bayer 04 Leverkusen over in Germany, but insisted that “the best is yet to come” from Manchester United this season.
Manchester United are now unbeaten in 11 matches in all competition, a run that hopefully will be improved on Sunday. Manchester United’s clash with Tottenham Hotspur this weekend in a 12pm GMT kick off.
