Danny Welbeck & Michael Carrick withdraw from England squad

Daniel Welbeck and Michael Carrick withdraw from England

Michael Carrick and Danny Welbeck have today withdrawn from the England squad due to injury and will miss the international friendlies against Chile and Germany this weekend.

England manager Hodgson will not be adding any additional players to the squad after Welbeck and Carrick left the squad today.

Roy Hodson’s men will play Chile on Friday night and then a mouth watering fixture against Germany on Tuesday night, with both games at Wembley Stadium.

Robin van Persie has also returned from international duty after suffering with injuries to his toe and groin, the players will recover at Carrington and hopefully be ready to face Cardiff City away on the 24th November 2013.

Enjoy that? Give it a share!
