David Moyes confident that Belgium youngster signs new contract

David Moyes stated on Monday afternoon that himself and the club are ‘confident’ that youngster Adnan Januzaj will sign a new extended contract with Manchester United.

It is strongly rumoured that Manchester United are set to offer the Belgium youngster a new five-year deal and massive wage boost to keep him at the club until at least 2018.

Currently Januzaj’s contract is due to finish in the summer of 2015 but the club are more then keen to get him on a bigger contract as his progression through youth level has attracted many other clubs, including Barcelona.

The reserve player of the year for last season, has had a fantastic summers pre-season with the first team out in Asia and Australia, also putting in a fantastic 30-minute performance against Crystal Palace at Old Trafford on the weekend.

The news will be more than welcome for Manchester United fans after losing out on youth project Paul Pogba who chose to join Juventus over staying at United.

Manchester United take on Bayer Leverkusen on Tuesday night, a game in which Januzaj will not be involved in, Moyes explained that he will not be registered for the A side until October.

Go on Moyes, get Adnan to sign that contract soon. Fantastic prospect for Manchester United.

Enjoy that? Give it a share!
