Manchester United keen to offer a five-year deal for Adnan Januzaj

Manchester United are set to offer young midfielder Adnan Januzaj a brand new five-year contract, keeping him to the club until 2018.

Januzaj has been a name that every United fan has become to know over the pre-season, after putting in some fantastic performances in Australia and Asia before returning to the UK with an impressive display in Rio Ferdinand’s testimonial at Old Trafford.

The club are keen to get a contract signed with Adnan Januzaj sooner rather than later as clubs such as FC Barcelona and Juventus have been sniffing around the Belgium midfielder.

David Moyes has been more than keen to keep an eye on Januzaj since taking over at the start of July. On Monday evening, Moyes and the rest of the Manchester United coaching staff watched him put in a great individual performance as United lost 4-2 to Liverpool.

Watch his highlights below:

Before his retirement, Sir Alex Ferguson said:

“Adnan is a beautifully balanced player. He’s only 18 and still to grow into his frame. But he has good balance, good acceleration and he’s a very good technical player.”

Enjoy that? Give it a share!
