Jose Mourinho and Chelsea are reportedly preparing to make a final bid of £40million for Wayne Rooney from Manchester United this week.
Mourinho has made it more than since taking over as Chelsea manager that he sees Wayne Rooney as the last piece of his Chelsea puzzle, and wants him as his No. 9.
Rooney, who is currently on £240,000 a-week at Manchester United is expected to be offered a four-year deal and a wage deal of £300,000 per week plus image rights with Chelsea.
David Moyes has stated from the start that Wayne Rooney is not for sale, the club will not take any bid seriously until Rooney puts in a written transfer request, in which up to this date, he has yet to do so.
Mourinho is desperate to land Rooney, however Chelsea think Dortmund would definitely sell Lewandowski at the same price, but Rooney is firmly on top of the list.
Paul Stretford, Rooney’s agent is believed to be trying to push a deal forward also, as he would be in line for a massive pay day from Chelsea also.
Chelsea are expected to lodge their next bid as soon as today.
