Manchester United's Sam Johnstone joins Yeovil Town

Manchester United’s under-21s goalkeeper Sam Johnstone has signed on loan for Yeovil Town on a three-month deal.

Johnstone has previously had loan spells with Oldham Athletic, Scunthorpe United and Walsall.

Former United goalkeeping coach, Eric Steele always said that Johnstone would be a big prospect at the club, now he can learn his trade with regular first-team football over the next three months.

The move does leave the under-21s slightly short on the goalkeeping front, with Ben Amos rumoured to be going out on loan too, the young reds will look to Gollini and Sutherland.

Johnstone didn’t have long to let the loan spell move sink in, as he was selected straight into Yeovil Towns squad on Saturday afternoon.

Enjoy that? Give it a share!
