Rio Ferdinand: No collar up on the new kit

Rio Ferdinand has claimed that himself and hit team-mates will not be wearing their collars up on the new Manchester United home shirt.

The kit, which was released earlier in the month, has adopted a collar in honour of Eric Cantona for this coming season but Ferdinand has claimed that no one at the club will be wearing it up.

Eric ‘The King’ Cantona was famous for playing with his collar up during his footballing career, but the Manchester United defender that nobody deserves to do the same other than Eric.

Speaking with The Sun, Rio Ferdinand said:

“There’s only one person who should be wearing their collars up Eric Cantona”

“And he’s retired.”
