Could Luis Nani be staying at Manchester United?

Luis Nani is in limbo over his Manchester United future as he thinks about where he will be next season, but could the Portuguese winger stay with the Premier League Champions?

Last week, Nani said that he would spend the week thinking about his future as Galatasaray made a £6million bid which was turned down by United.

Nani, currently has one-year left on his contract at Old Trafford and no extension has been put in place, it was strongly rumoured that Sir Alex Ferguson would often get frustrated with the Portuguese winger both on and off the pitch.

Speaking about his future, Luis Nani said:

“My future? Nothing is certain.

“I am calm. I have everything in my hands.

“I am not saying that I will not continue at Manchester United. I will think about what is best for me.”

The 26-year-old has been linked with many clubs around the world, some of which are back in his home country.

He added:

“I have respect for the Portuguese clubs, especially Sporting Lisbon but also Benfica and Porto, but I don’t think that is viable.

“I think my level at the moment is different.”

Sounds to me like he is waiting for one of the big clubs or one of the super rich ones to come in for him, that might have happened a couple of seasons ago but not now, it would be best for him to put pen to paper on a new deal for Utd and get his head down and start producing the goods again as he is quality when he is on his game and it is a new ball game with Moyes at the helm now.

I hope he stays. Getting really sick of people saying we should sell him, they must be pig ignorant if they have forgotten what he’s capable of. Cannot believe the pathetic amount of money being talked about too, 11mill? He’s worth 3 times that

Nani is a typical united player. He is talented, skillful with great pace, he only has to be more serious with his career. He belongs to united and should prove himself there.
