GIF: Robin van Persie wins Goal of the Season with ‘That’ goal

Robin van Persie has won the Goal of the Season award at Manchester United for that fantastic volley against Aston Villa at Old Trafford.

Van Persie scored an impressive 33-minute hat-trick against Aston Villa which secured Manchester United’s 20th league title at Old Trafford back at the end of April.

RVP’s second of the three was by far the best of the lot, now voted goal of the season at the United Player of the Season awards on Wednesday night, a left footed volley after a 40-yard pass from team-mate Wayne Rooney.

Many have seen the similarities that his strike was reminiscent of his wonder goal for Arsenal against Everton back in 2010.
