Wayne Rooney hands in transfer request, again?

Wayne Rooney tells Manchester United he wants to leave, again?

Reports in today’s Daily Mail state that Wayne Rooney has told the club that he wishes to leave this coming summer.

Three years ago Rooney stated that there was a “lack of ambition” at Manchester United after handing in a written transfer request and made it clear that he would be looking to move, more than likely to rivals Manchester City as they become firm favourites to land the England striker.

Rooney then changed his mind and admitted he acted hastily and put pen to paper on a new contract.

Rumours about Rooney’s departure have not started over night, since the sensational signing of Robin van Persie the media have been quick to add that Rooney is not happy at the club, his recent deployment in midfield and regular substitutions have only added to the transfer speculation.

The club have moved quickly to make a statement to say that the player is NOT FOR SALE.

Rooney’s transfer request could be the pending announcement of new manager David Moyes; which a libel case that Moyes won against Rooney in the past is unlikely to have brought them closer together.

The Manchester United players only found out yesterday morning, after Sir Alex Ferguson announced his retirement that David Moyes is the choice to take over of the biggest club in world football.

Would you be happy for Rooney to leave?

Enjoy that? Give it a share!

rooney should worth 30-40m dude.
if psg can buy pastore for 39.8m… because of age, rooney should easily match that price.

let him rot. disgusted at his timing. united is bigger even than Sir Alex (hard to say that line tho). Sire Alex deserves 2 games of commitment. the next 2 weeks never mid the last 48 hours he deserved all the respect. Wally Wayne disrespectfully cannot wait 2 weeks? 2 weeks to throw his toys out of the pram. defended him before but want him gone now. Whether Ronaldo and Moyes both come in, Wayne should go. Would like Fellaini, Baines, Ronaldo to come in.

last point, if Bale is worth 60+ how the hell do the press think Rooney will go for 20-30m? Get PSG to pay 40-50mill and buy the everton lads and bring cr7 home.

i though rooney could be reposition to take up the creative & long pass role behind the striker. he has been devastatingly effective. note: van persie volley vs villa.

however, its quite a shit attitude to throw in a transfer request the day moyes are announced. if the news are indeed true, then moyes should sell him as a warning signal to show him whose the boss. but then again he’ll only be in, on 1st july.

i felt the news is a fake one just to roused more drama to the already sensational situation.

i rather have rooney than ronaldo. ronaldo will make the whole team focus on him again, just like it was before he left. if i want to see that, i just have to watch madrid. and thats not football.

not too many everton players please. maybe just fellaini. baines old enough to retire together with evra (i know evra is older).

Rooney is turning 28 and last 2 years of contract left , and bale is 23 years old and 4 years contract left thats why Bale is 60 plus and Rooney is 20-30 . Also Rooney is 250K per week contract so not many club will be willing to do business with that sort of crazy money. And his contract will cost you 12 million annually excluding the bonuses of winning the league . So if he dont want to play then sell him and u will save 12 million pound per annum ..

Fellaini is no where near United quality. He is just another Berbatov; scores sometimes but is very lazy. We need Lewandowski or Falcao

am not happy with the decision of rooneyb he is meant for manchester united please rooney dont do what u r abt to do

Only does the odd thing on the odd occasion, not even close to the ranks of messi no way worth that money, never forgave him holding us to ransom…I’d let him go..
