Manchester United announce they will tour Hong Kong this summer

Manchester United have this morning announced that they will conclude their summer 2013 tour of various countries in Hong Kong, China.

United have not toured in Hong Kong since 2005 and know how much of a fan-base the club has out in China. The club have organized a fixture against Kitchee FC which will be playing on 29th July 2013 at the Hong Kong Stadium.

Manchester United have already announced a six-day training camp in Sydney, Australia, and a game against an A-League select XI which will be played on July 20th.

Other locations will be announced by the club this week, Thailand and Japan are rumoured to be the other two locations.

In relation to announcing the Hong Kong trip this morning, David Gill said:

“The club has tremendous support throughout China and especially in Hong Kong, we have visited on a number of occasions and after an eight-year gap it’s a pleasure for the team to be able to return to Hong Kong again this year.”
