Manchester United take Ghanaian Jeffrey Schlupp on trial from Leicester City

Jeffrey Schlupp will be a brand new name to many but Manchester United have offered him a trial with the club with a view to sign permanently from Leicester City.

Schlupp has already been training at Carrington Training Complex after being granted permission from Leicester City after Sir Alex Ferguson has said to have taken a shine to the youngster after making his first-team debut last season with an explosive hat-trick against Rotherham.

Schlupp is a product of Leicester City’s youth academy and currently contracted until 2015, but if his trial goes well at United will see him move to the North West on a permanent deal.

Alex Ferguson and the first-team fly to Qatar on Sunday so coaching staff Warren Joyce and Paul McGuinness will be keeping a close eye on Schlupp in training.
