Academy travel to Singapore for NexLions Cup

Manchester United have flown out a squad over 18-players to Singapore for the under-19s NexLions Cup.

The Reds first game is this Friday morning (10:15am GMT) against Sporting Lisbon in the competitions semi-finals. If the mini-reds beat Sporting Lisbon then they could face Liverpool in the final on Sunday if they manage to beat Singapore youth which will played after United’s game.

Paul McGuinness and academy manager Brian McClair have taken a strong squad out from Manchester including Mats Dæhli, James Wilson and Jack Barmby.

The full squad is as follows:
