U18s: Manchester United 4-2 Southampton

Manchester United beat Southampton 4-2 at Carrington Training Complex on Saturday morning.

James Wilson, who is having a fantastic season for the academy celebrated his 17th birthday yesterday by scoring two-goals in Manchester United’s win.

James Wilson put United ahead after 21-minutes from a great free-kick by Adnan Januzaj.

Adnan Januzaj was the creator once more in the 29th minute when a fantastic bit of vision put Mats Dæhli through to calmly finish into the bottom corner.

it was Déjà vu for Manchester United’s third goal as Januzaj put through Dæhli again for a calm finish past the Southampton keeper.

James Weir turned to provider for Manchester United’s 4th goal with a great through ball to provide birthday boy James Wilson with his second in the 65th-minute.
