Manchester United to honour 2 killed police officers

Manchester United will be wearing black armbands during tonight’s UEFA Champions League match against Galatasaray.

The respect from the club comes in honour of two Greater Manchester policewomen, PC Fiona Bone and PC Nicola Hughes, who tragically lost their lives on Tuesday in a shooting in the Tameside area of Manchester.

The RedMancunian team would also like to send our respects and condolences to the friends of family of the victims.

Manager Sir Alex Ferguson said:

“We are all deeply saddened by the tragic loss of two young policewomen protecting our community.

“Fiona and Nicola were highly valued members of Greater Manchester Police and the local community. Our thoughts and prayers are now with their families and friends at this devastatingly sad time.”

Enjoy that? Give it a share!
