Liverpool forward congratulates United's new signing

Manchester United have gotten their summer transfer business off to an impressive start in the two weeks since the domestic campaign ended. Whilst Jose Mourinho’s second season in charge may have ended in disappointment after a 1-0 defeat to Chelsea in the FA Cup final, the club have wasted little time in the transfer market, bringing in FC Porto right back Diogo Dalot and Shakhtar Donetsk midfielder Fred who is Brazilian, Brazil have a great chance of winning this summers World Cup and odds with matchbook bonus code 2018 can surely give you some big chances of winning. The latter, who was a target for Manchester City back in January, has yet to be unveiled as of yet, but the club have confirmed his transfer in a short statement released on Tuesday, and United fans’ excitement will be growing to see the Brazilian in a red shirt as soon as possible.

One player and colleague who has offered his congratulations is his Fred’s international teammate, Liverpool’s Roberto Firmino. The former 1899 Hottenheim forward, who notched 27 goals last season in a trophyless campaign for the Merseyside club had this to say on his compatriot’s move, in quotes carried by Metro:

“He’s is in the next room to me, he is my next rival but I congratulated him and I hope he has a lot of success playing at Manchester United. Now on the pitch it’s a derby, we won’t be able to avoid playing against each other but I wish him great success.”

Jurgen Klopp’s side might have ended a promising season with a dispiriting defeat to Real Madrid in the Champions League final, but Liverpool are starting to look a threat after so many years in the Premier League wilderness. Whether that will equate to a title charge remain to be seen, but the potency of their attack certainly gives them a chance, so the addition of a quality box-to-box midfielder like Fred could be a great asset to United going forward.
