It may not have been the most comfortable of seasons for Anthony Martial, but the Manchester United forward left reports under no illusions as to his great affection for the club he joined in the summer of 2015.
Speaking during United’s pre-match press conference ahead of the second leg of their Europa League last 32 tie with Saint-Etienne, Martial reiterated his affection for United, stating: “I love this club. I love Manchester United. I love the Manchester United fans, they give me a lot of joy and I really enjoy having them backing me. I try to be as good as possible to make them happy, to satisfy them. What I want is to stay at this club for as long as possible.”
“I work a lot. I work very hard. I am surrounded by great players. I try to learn in each training session and I am very lucky for that. I feel very fortunate to train and play with those players. I try to keep focused, do my best and I am sure next season will be even better.”
