United’s new Under 18’s Starlet

3 days ago, Manchester United signed 16 year old Indy Boonen from Belgian side Genk. He’s now joined up with Paul McGuinness’ youth side.

Upon arrival fellow countrymen, Adnan Januzaj and Marouane Fellaini, were at hand to help settle the prospect into the AON Training Complex.

Jacky Boonen, Indy’s father and former pro-footballer, has not only reveale that his son is more talented than he is but also that there was a whole host of big clubs trying to sign up his son:

“Arsenal, Feyenoord, Wolfsburg and Basel were also after him; Ajax had also shown an interest”, Boonen senior continued.”

 “But Indy always wanted to join Manchester United and after his week-long trial period he called me and said, ‘I want to play football here’.”

Seppe Boonen, Indy’s brother, is said to quite the talented young keeper, who United are looking to bring to Old Trafford.
