United to Lose Goalkeeper

There have been a lot of transfer rumours this summer surrounding Manchester United and goalkeepers. With Real Madrid trying to sign David De Gea, van Gaal falling out with Víctor Valdés and, the signing of Sergio Romero, there has been an unusual amount of keeper related news coming out of Old Trafford.

It has now come to light that Danish keeper Anders Lindegarrd will be sent off on loan to Turkish side Beşiktaş.

In 4 and a half years as a Red Devil, Lindegaard has only played 29 games, keeping 13 clean sheets during that time. He was initially signed as a back up keeper but with United’s current roster, he looks to be 4th or even 5th choice now.

Beşiktaş reportedly attempted to sign Valdés from United but eventually chose against it as the ex-Barcelona player would disrupt the balance of the squad.

It seems that Louis van Gaal is trying to ship off two of his keepers this summer (Valdés and Lindgaard) but with Real Madrid not letting up on the De Gea chase, there could be 3 keepers departing the red side of Manchester in this window.

Enjoy that? Give it a share!
