United & PSG step up interest to buy Kevin Strootman

It is well known that Louis van Gaal is a big admirer of the Dutch midfielder Kevin Strootman, and Manchester United has been linked with the Dutchman several times. Not only this summer, but also last summer.

The Daily Express have recently reported that Manchester United are interested in signing Kevin Strootman, but the club wants to see how well he recovers from a bad knee injury that got him sidelined for 4 months, and also made him miss the World Cup.

But reports are surfacing now that Paris St. Germain wants the Dutchman’s services. Last time Manchester United and Paris St. Germain was interested in the same player, the red devils won the battle. This time Paris St. Germain wants to do everything they can to get the persuade Strootman to pick France over England.

Kevin Strootman, who plays for AS Roma was a star player for them the first part of the season where AS Roma didn’t lose a game in their first 10 matches. Strootman signed for Roma from PSV Eindhoven back in the summer of 2013 for a fee of €17million, with AS Roma looking to almost double their money, wanting a fee in the region of €30million.

If the player becomes available then we could see Paris St. Germain and Manchester United fight through-out the whole January transfer window to receive the Dutchman’s services. Manchester United could have the advantage considering the good relationship between Louis van Gaal and Kevin Strootman, he would be a great addition to our squad.

Enjoy that? Give it a share!
