Manchester United’s Wayne Rooney has taken to social media to react to the negative and misleading media reports regarding his extra training session over in Brazil yesterday.
The England forward today posted on his Facebook account which boasts over 21million fans, stating that he does not see what the British press are getting at, after just joining in an extra training session at the players request.
Roy Hodgson had scheduled in a gentle 30-minute training session for the England squad on Monday afternoon but it was Wayne Rooney who opted to join in on a more intense training session with those that had not featured over in Manaus during England’s 2-1 defeat to Italy.
A lot has already been made about Wayne Rooney this World Cup, while being played out of position many are calling for Roy Hodgson to start the Manchester United forward on the bench for Thursday nights fixture against Uruguay
