PICTURE: Wayne Rooney sends message to the fans regarding injury and getting behind the team

It was bad news for Manchester United on Friday morning as David Moyes released the news that Wayne Rooney had been sent to Egypt to receive some hot-weather treatment and training for his latest groin injury, meaning that Rooney would miss United’s Premier League clash with Swansea City at Old Trafford.

Rooney posted a message to Manchester United fans on Friday evening with a rallying message to get behind the team and more importantly the manager.

Below, posted on the Wayne Rooney Official Facebook page:

Hopefully Wayne Rooney is fit and raring to go in Manchester United’s next fixture, which is an away league match with Chelsea at Stamford Bridge. Having Robin van Persie and Wayne Rooney back for that game would be a huge boost for Moyes.

Enjoy that? Give it a share!
