Robin van Persie overtakes Cruyff's International Record

Manchester United’s Robin van Persie scored a brace last night against Romania to help his national team to a 4-0 win.

With those two-goals Robin van Persie has now surpassed footballing legend Johan Cruyff’s goal record for his country.

The first of van Persie’s goals last night was a fantastic headed finish, watch the video below:

Robin van Persie has now scored 34 goals for Holland, one more that Johan Cruyff, who scored 33 goals in 48 appearances during his Netherlands international career.

Van Persie found the net 3 times during the international break, hopefully getting his goalscoring hunger back on track as Manchester United go into a double game weekend in the Premier League and FA Cup, van Persie has scored just once in 11 appearances for United.
